First Birthday Smash Cake Session

This past August, I photographed my first ever Smash Cake Session of my adorable nephew. These session were not really a 'thing' when my first born was little, but were super popular around the time that I had my second child. I love creating a custom banner and puff colour set. My favourite part of this type of session, is waiting to see how the baby will react to their smash cake. Will they dig in and thoroughly enjoy it. Will they absolutely destroy it, hence the 'smash' title for this session type. Or will they shy away, and be uninterested? Well my nephew for one, dug right in and loved the taste of icing.
